What We Believe

St. Luke's believes, teaches and confesses the Holy Scriptures to be the true and  inspired word of God. We also subscribe to the unaltered Augsburg Confession as a true witness to Scripture.

We are a traditional worshipping community built on the belief that Christ was given as a sacrifice for the salvation of the world.  It is in His death and resurrection that we have received God’s justification by His grace which has recapitulated humanity's destiny.  We share in this new destiny each Sunday by receiving the Holy Eucharist.

We confess the three ecumenical creeds; The Nicene, Apostles' and Athanasian Creed. We believe that Baptism is necessary for salvation and is open to all.
